Overview
TestMyFPS (https://testmyfps.com) is committed to your privacy. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect essentially nothing. All tests run entirely in your browser, no test data is sent to our servers, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
What we collect
When you visit TestMyFPS, our servers receive the following information as part of standard HTTP requests:
- Your IP address (used only to serve the page; not stored).
- The URL you requested.
- Your browser user-agent string (browser name, version, OS).
- The referring page (if any).
This information is logged by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) for security and abuse prevention, and is automatically deleted after a short period. We do not have access to these logs in real time and we do not use them for analytics.
What we do NOT collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
- Test results — every test runs in your browser and the results stay on your device.
- Personal information — we have no accounts, no sign-up forms, no email collection (except when you email us directly).
- Browsing history — we do not use cookies for tracking, only for theme preference (dark/light).
- Device fingerprints — we do not use canvas fingerprinting, WebGL fingerprinting, or any other identification technique.
- Analytics — we do not use Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, or any other analytics service.
Cookies
TestMyFPS uses a single local storage key (testmyfps-theme) to remember your theme preference (dark or light). This is not a cookie and is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.
We do not use cookies for advertising, tracking, or analytics. If we add advertising in the future, we will update this policy and provide a clear opt-out before any advertising cookies are set.
Third-party services
TestMyFPS is hosted on Cloudflare Pages/Workers. Cloudflare may log standard HTTP request data (IP address, user-agent, requested URL) for security and abuse prevention, as described in their privacy policy. We do not share any data with Cloudflare beyond what is necessary to serve the page.
We do not use any other third-party services. No Google Fonts, no CDN-hosted scripts, no embedded videos, no social media widgets.
Advertising
TestMyFPS is currently ad-free. If we add advertising in the future to cover hosting costs, we will update this policy first and provide clear notice on the site. We will never use pop-ups, pop-unders, auto-playing audio, or other intrusive ad formats.
Children's privacy
TestMyFPS is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data, most privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) do not apply to TestMyFPS in a meaningful way. However, you have the right to:
- Request access to any personal data we hold about you (we have none).
- Request deletion of any personal data we hold about you (we have none).
- Object to processing of your personal data (we have none).
- Withdraw consent for any processing based on consent (we have none).

Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent change. If we make material changes (such as adding new tracking or advertising), we will notify users with a prominent notice on the site before the change takes effect.
